Goth Girl

What you need:
Tube of Choice. I’m using the art of Jose Cano.
Kit of Choice. I’m using a Free to Use kit called Goth Girl. You can find it here.
Style of Choice. I’m using the wonderfully free styles of Sonarpos. The one I use can be found here.
Font of Choice. I’m using Low Gun Screen. You can download it here.

I assume you have working knowledge of Photoshop. This tut was created using CS5.

Open your tube. Create a new image with the dimensions of 600×250. Name it “Tag”
On your tube, close off all the layers except the first one. Copy and paste it into your tag. Go back and close off the top layer and open the second layer. Copy and paste that into your tag.
Now, in your tag, hit shift and click on the two layers you have. Right click and hit “Link Layers”. Now position how you wish.
Open a paper from the kit. I’m using P4. Copy and paste it into your tag. Drag it to the bottom.
Create a new layer above your tube layers. Select all, modify a border with 8 px. Flood fill with a color from your tube. I suggest hitting flood fill a few times to square it off. Deselect.
Now double click the frame you just made and pull up the Layer Style box. Under the Blending Options, drop the fill opacity down to 50%. Now, go to stroke and add a black stroke set to 3px.
Open a wire element. I used Wire2. Copy and paste it above your background layer. Drag it over to the left of the image. Duplicate and drag the duplicated layer to the right of the image.
Open Frame F4. Resize by 80%. Copy and paste it above your wire layers Position it in the center.
Open a set of stars. I used Stars3. Resize by 60% and copy and paste above your frame. Position to the left of the tube near the bottom. Duplicate, transform>flip horizontal. Move that star layer to the right.
Now, add your copyright info above the top layer. Rasterize layer.
Using the font Low Gun Screen, type out your name. Apply a style from Sonaparo’s 261.

If you are not going to animate, save as a .jpg

If you are going to animate, close off the bottom tube layer. Down in your animation window, duplicate frame twice. You should have 3 frames.
In the second frame, close off the top tube layer and open the bottome one.
Go back to frame one. Now, hit the tween button, it should look like a diagonal line of dots.
Tween with next frame and add 3 frames. Now go to Frame 5. Hit tween again. Same settings as before. Set frames 1,5, and 9 to display for .5 seconds.
Set the other frames to display for .1 second.

Save for web and devices. Enjoy!
